Matt was born in 1972 in Birmingham, England and has been drawing for as long as he can remember. He was introduced to the possibilities of digital art in 1980 when he began assembling images from ASCII characters on a Commodore VIC-20. Computers eventually became as important as pencils and paper in the production of Matt's artwork and these days he creates all his work digitally.
Matt first contributed art to a videogame in 1988 and he continues to work in the games industry. As a lead artist for the UK's biggest independent games developer, he was privileged to be involved with numerous high profile game and movie licenses including Harry Potter, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Matt currently operates as a freelance concept artist and illustrator.
